Prayer Shawl Ministry

Can't find what you are looking for? Contact us!

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is dedicated to sharing God's love in the form of knitted or crocheted shawls and lap quilts. These works of art in fabric are presented to members of the congregation who are experiencing difficulties, such as an illness or death in the family, or are celebrating or anticipating joyous occasions, such as graduation from high school or the birth of a baby.

"We meet twice a month, the second Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon and the fourth Tuesday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 101 of the Activities Building," said Mary Keller, who organized the Prayer Shawl Ministry in September 2012.

"We welcome anyone who would like to serve the Lord. Even if you don't currently knit, crochet or quilt, we'd be happy to help you learn. We can always use help with cutting or pressing fabric."
