In the spring of 2008, the idea for a church community
garden was born when an article in the Oak Ridger mentioned
a community garden at another Presbyterian Church in Le
Seur, Minnesota. After contacting them and being encouraged
to pursue it, the planning began. Since Presbyterians
cannot do anything without calling a meeting, the meetings
began in Fall of 2008. By January 2009, we had decided to
do it, and began to map out the plots and till the
